Manager says:
We are looking for an experienced Bad Debt Manager too monitor facilitate and managed the resolution and clearance of all transactions within the AS Bad Debt Provision.
Reporting to the Head Of IBA you will work with the Business Units and the IBA team to ensure the resolution and clearance of all transactions within the AS Bad Debt Provision. Responsibility includes, but is not limited to, account and query interrogation, write off, credit write-back and final settlement proposals, recommendation of offsets and the production of MI to analyse team performance and root cause analysis.
What you will do:
Responsible for the resolution of queries and clearance of transactions, over 12 months, that are included in the bad debt provision. Work with the business units and Premium Processing to ensure resolution of the query and submission of the transaction for signing.
Interrogation and interpretation of accounting positions to enable clearance of transactions impacting the bad debt provision. This includes, but is not limited to, account analysis, correction of previous misallocations, resolution of queries preventing collection, correction of erroneous transactions, write off, final settlement and Credit Write-Back suggestions.
Work with the Business Units, IBA and Premium Processing and Claims to ensure resolution of the query preventing signing.
Work closely with the IBA Senior Leadership Team to ensure the bad debt provision targeted reductions are achieved.
Liaise with the IBA, Premium Processing and Claims team to prevent duplication where responsibilities overlap.
Design, implementation and oversight of KPI’s and SLA’s in relation to the Bad Debt Provision.
Provide information to the Business Units of all Bureau uncollected brokerage and funding that have impacted the bad debt provision.
Produce relevant reporting to the Business Units, Finance and Senior Management providing reasons for non payment, expected payment dates and potential bad debt impacts.
Produce trend analysis identifying business areas and individuals where performance is below and above expectations and work with the relevant businesses and individuals to create remediation plans whilst escalating these issues to Senior Management.
Build and manage relationships with key internal and external stakeholders e.g. Finance execs, Business Unit execs, central support leaders and DXC.
Effectively support and embed on-going operational and strategic business change into the team’s processes, organisational structure and ways of working.
Provide guidance to the BPO Leadership team implementing corrective action where required.
Ensure adherence to, and support, all company compliance, policy, risk management and audit requirements.
Ensure successful completion of training and assessment exercises as assigned from the Compliance and Training Departments.
Other responsibilities and activities within the context and purpose of the role.
What you will bring:
Significant IBA and Technical experience including Bureau processes and systems. Good relationships with the Business Units and other senior personnel. Previous experience of team management.
Ability to negotiate with and influence various stakeholders both internally and externally.

Significant Technical Processing and Bureau experience.
