About the Role

We are looking for a friendly, organized, and customer-focused Customer Service Representative to join our Ashley Furniture team.

In this role, you’ll be an important part of the customer experience, supporting customers both in person and over the phone while helping ensure orders are processed accurately and efficiently. You’ll work closely with the sales and office teams to keep customer orders moving smoothly from purchase through delivery.

What You’ll Do

• Enter customer orders accurately and completely into the company system

• Process customer payments and ensure transactions are applied to the proper accounts

• Handle cash and other forms of payment in accordance with company policies

• Prepare daily deposits following company procedures

• Answer incoming calls and respond to customer questions professionally and promptly

• Schedule customer deliveries accurately and conveniently

• Maintain open orders and communicate order and delivery updates to customers

• Research and resolve customer questions or concerns with professionalism and empathy

• Complete daily reports and required office tasks

• Support showroom operations, including displays, tagging, and maintaining a customer-friendly environment

• Work closely with sales and office team members to support an exceptional customer experience

• Assist the Office Manager with additional responsibilities as needed

What We’re Looking For

• High school diploma or GED

• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills

• Excellent verbal and listening skills

• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel

• Strong cash-handling and basic math skills

• Ability to calculate discounts, interest, commissions, percentages, and other basic figures

• Strong organization and multitasking skills

• Proven problem-solving and analytical abilities

• Ability to use sound judgment when handling customer or vendor questions and concerns

• Positive attitude and ability to work effectively as part of a team

• Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment

• Bilingual skills are a plus
