Delivery Manager – Connected Crew & Optimised Flying Mission
Job description
TEAM
At easyJet, we are on a mission to transform our airline operations into a world class, digitally optimised operation, using new and emerging technologies.
Product and its ways of working is new to Airline Operations at easyJet, and we are looking for people who can help us mature our capability as we journey through the skies together!
As Delivery Manager in the Connected Crew & Optimised Flying Mission, you'll own the maturity of delivery within one of our product groups — running the operating rhythm of its product teams and lifting them from project-shaped delivery to a genuine product way of working. Connected Crew & Optimised Flying brings together four product groups — Connected Crew, Safety, Crew Training, and Flight & Fuel Optimisation — to create a unified mission focused on improving operational efficiency, safety, crew effectiveness, and sustainability.
You'll work within the system of delivery designed at Mission level by the Delivery Lead, reporting to them, and be accountable for making it real in your product group — adapting it to the specific shape, risks and stakeholders of that group.
Product group focus – Connected Crew
Today, crew connect our systems together themselves — often under pressure and during periods of high workload — without clear, consistent, real-time information, making decisions harder and less consistent, and reducing crew's ability to deliver reliable safety, service and onboard sales. This group's objective is to get the right information to the right people at the right time, through connected, intuitive devices, enabling faster, more confident decisions and a real-time crew experience that supports safe, high-quality operations and service.
Product group focus – Safety
We rely on rapid, confident safety decisions across normal operations, disruption and crisis — yet the information needed for those decisions remains fragmented across systems, with critical safety insight too often assembled reactively. As the pace and complexity of the operation increases, this group's objective is to strengthen our integrated safety and security intelligence capability, so emerging risk is anticipated earlier, decisions are better informed, and disruption or crisis can be managed with greater speed, control and confidence.
Product group focus – Crew Training
Crew training today is fragmented across systems that don't talk to each other, relying heavily on manual processes that limit data-driven insight from our safety systems and increase administrative burden. This group's objective is to deliver a unified, data-driven training experience that improves quality and efficiency, driving consistent, continuous improvement with minimal manual effort.
Product group focus – Flight & Fuel Optimisation
Pilots operate with fragmented data, limited end-to-end visibility, and inconsistent adoption of efficiency initiatives — resulting in unnecessary fuel burn, higher costs, and missed opportunities to scale proven savings. This group's objective is to drive consistent adoption of fuel optimisation so flights are operated as close to optimal as possible, with end-to-end data improving accuracy, resilience and crew confidence, and delivering a measurable reduction in cost and emissions.
JOB PURPOSE
Your work directly enables your product group's outcome — whether that's consistent, confident crew decision-making, proactive safety intelligence, a unified data-driven training experience, or flights operated as close to optimal as possible.
Improve and mature delivery predictability within the assigned product group, building strong relationships with the Product Managers, Tech Specialists and Software Engineers in your group.
Operate, adapt and continuously improve the Mission's system of delivery within your product group, enabling teams to optimise idea-to-value flow. This is a hands-on delivery role, not an agile coaching role.
Raise the delivery maturity of the product teams in your group against a clear baseline, with a plan and visible progress against it.
Surface and remove impediments within your group, and escalate systemic blockers to the Delivery Lead where they need Mission-level intervention.
Build and hold a single, credible delivery plan for your product group, spanning internal teams, vendor delivery and cross-team dependencies.
Represent your product group's delivery status, risks and dependencies accurately and consistently to the Delivery Lead and wider Mission.
JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES
Own and maintain the delivery plan for your product group, integrating internal, vendor and third-party workstreams into a single, credible view.
Track and report delivery maturity against the Mission baseline, with a clear improvement plan and visible progress.
Bring release discipline to your group\: sequencing, test and parallel-run cadence, migration planning and go-live readiness, tailored to the risk profile of your product group.
Manage day-to-day vendor delivery relationships where relevant, holding third parties to the same plan and standards as internal teams.
Capture, validate and resolve delivery impediments within your group; escalate systemic or cross-group blockers to the Delivery Lead with clear context and recommended action.
Act as the primary point of contact for delivery status, risks and dependencies for your product group, including feeding into Quarterly Business Reviews and Monthly Product Syncs.
Protect live operational windows and safety-adjacent constraints when planning releases, where applicable to your product group.
Maintain compliance with organisational delivery standards and tooling conventions set at Mission level.
Contribute delivery data and insight to the Mission's flow metrics and reporting mechanisms.
Build trusted, day-to-day relationships with Product Managers, Tech Specialists, Software Engineers and, where relevant, operational and regulatory stakeholders (e.g. Safety, Flight Operations or Crew Training teams).
COMPETENCIES
Innovation & Change
Identifies opportunities within own area for continuously improving the way things are done, seeking to improve efficiency in everything that they do. Able to influence others to support change by identifying key stakeholders and explaining the rationale and benefits of the change.

Understands the commercial reality of easyJet in terms of high volume, low cost and low margin. Keeps up to date with industry trends and considers this information for their own area. Takes into account short term cost management and longer-term return on investment when making decisions. Understands why pace matters in their specific product group — whether that's safety-critical decision-making, crew experience, training quality or fuel/cost savings.
Ownership & Delivery
Takes personal accountability for delivery outcomes in their product group. Provides a high level of motivation and support to product teams to ensure they consistently deliver in line with expectations, keeping their group's outcome front and centre, and is comfortable rolling up their sleeves to get into the detail.
Building Relationships
Communicates effectively with others within own area, proactively sharing information with those who need to know. Establishes trust quickly with Product Managers, Tech Specialists, Software Engineers and vendor partners by listening and working effectively across boundaries.
