Job description

We are looking for an experienced Legal Director to join our growing Cyber & Data Risk team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a senior cyber lawyer looking to take on a highly visible role within a busy and specialist practice, working with colleagues across the wider team and helping us continue to develop our cyber offering.

The team is currently operating in a particularly busy environment and is looking to strengthen its senior capability.

The role

As a Legal Director, you will play a key role in the delivery and development of our Cyber & Data Risk practice. You will handle sophisticated cyber matters, work closely with clients and colleagues and provide senior-level support across the team.

The role will give you the opportunity to:

  • Manage complex and high-profile cyber and data risk matters.
  • Provide strategic advice to clients in relation to cyber incidents and associated legal and regulatory issues.
  • Take responsibility for client relationships and support the continued development of key accounts.
  • Work closely with partners and other senior lawyers across the practice.
  • Support and supervise more junior lawyers.
  • Contribute to business development, thought leadership and the continued growth of the Cyber & Data Risk offering.
  • Play an active role in the wider development of the team.

What are we looking for?

We are interested in hearing from experienced lawyers with a strong background in cyber, data risk, privacy or closely related insurance work.

You will ideally have:

  • Significant experience advising on cyber and/or data risk matters.
  • Strong technical and commercial judgement.
  • The confidence to manage complex matters with a high degree of autonomy.
  • Excellent client-handling and stakeholder-management skills.
  • Experience supervising and developing junior colleagues.
  • A genuine interest in developing client relationships and contributing to the growth of a practice.

This is an opportunity to join a specialist team at a senior level and have a meaningful role in shaping its continued development.
