Job description

G MASS are seeking a Loan Operations specialist to join the Operations team at a leading global investment manager, taking ownership of loan settlement and servicing across the firm's public-side CLO and credit funds.

This is an interim contract, offering hands-on exposure to broadly syndicated loan activity across both primary and secondary markets. Following a realignment of the firm's operating model, you'll step into a clearly defined remit supporting the public-side funds, working within established information-barrier protocols alongside portfolio management, trading and the wider global operations team. It's an opportunity to make an immediate impact in a lean, high-trust environment where your expertise will be relied upon from day one.

Responsibilities

  • Manage primary and secondary loan trades end to end, from trade capture through to close, chasing and resolving fails with agents, counterparties and custodians
  • Process trades on ClearPar, including allocations, funding memos and settlement confirmations, ensuring timely and accurate settlement
  • Handle agent notices, rollovers, paydowns, rate resets, amendments and restructurings, reconciling positions against agent records
  • Reconcile loan positions, cash and accruals with trustees and administrators, investigating and clearing breaks to protect data integrity
  • Operate within information-barrier protocols for public-side funds, maintaining robust audit trails and supporting control reviews
  • Build strong working relationships with portfolio management, trading, trustees, administrators and the global operations team, positioning yourself as a trusted point of contact on loan operations

Requirements

  • 3 years'+ experience in loan settlement or loan closing at an asset manager, CLO manager, bank or fund administrator
  • Hands-on ClearPar experience; WSO, Everest, Loan IQ or S&P/Markit loan tools advantageous
  • Strong working knowledge of LSTA/LMA documentation and settlement conventions, ideally across both US and European markets
  • CLO or broadly syndicated loan experience preferred; private credit exposure also valued
  • Able to work independently within a lean team, with prior interim or contract experience beneficial
  • Short notice or immediately available preferred, given the interim nature of the role

Benefits

Length: Initial 6-month contract
