Member of Technical Staff Distributed Systems Engineer

You will build and operate shared services, APIs, SDKs, and internal platforms. You will define reliability targets, maintain operational readiness, improve correctness and performance under load, and reduce operational burden through tooling, standardization, and scalable platform patterns.

Responsibilities

• Build and operate shared services for research and production workflows
• Define and uphold reliability targets using SLIs and SLOs
• Maintain runbooks, incident playbooks, and capacity plans
• Ensure correctness and performance under load
• Develop APIs, SDKs, and internal platforms
• Reduce operational burden through tooling, standardization, and platform patterns

Requirements

• Software engineering experience delivering production-grade systems
• Experience designing APIs, services, or developer platforms for large-scale data or compute
• Ability to debug complex codebases and optimize reliability and speed
• Distributed systems knowledge
• Cross-functional communication skills
