Member of Technical Staff Engineering Lead Data Platform

You will lead and grow a data platform engineering team while guiding the technical direction of data ingestion, orchestration, processing, storage, quality, and governance. You will work hands-on on designs, architecture, and code while enabling experimentation across research, training, and production.

Responsibilities

• Build, mentor, and grow a data platform engineering team
• Guide ingestion and orchestration architecture
• Build scalable compute and storage foundations
• Enable experimentation through a unified data layer
• Establish data quality, lineage, and governance signals
• Manage cost and performance guardrails
• Conduct design reviews and make architecture decisions

Requirements

• 8+ years of engineering experience
• Data engineering experience
• Experience owning production-grade pipelines at large scale
• Staff or principal-level individual contributor experience
• Engineering leadership experience or readiness
• Knowledge of ingestion, orchestration, storage, processing, data quality, lineage, or reproducibility
• Experience with modern data systems
