Job description

Team

Connected Crew & Optimised Flying brings together four product groups to improve operational efficiency, safety, crew effectiveness, and sustainability. Within Connected Crew, our objective is simple to state and hard to deliver\: the right information, to the right people, at the right time — delivered through connected, intuitive devices for faster, more confident decision-making.

We are looking for a Product Manager to own the Comms & Intelligence layer of Connected Crew\: the products and data capability that gather, make sense of, and surface operational information to pilots and cabin crew in real time. You will work alongside the Senior Product Manager, fellow Product Managers (Decision & Execution for Pilots, and Decision & Execution for Cabin), and the Crew & Aircraft Devices Platform team who operate the underlying iPad/EFB estate.

This role sits at the intersect between the business, technology teams, and frontline crew, and will really make the difference. Pilots and cabin crew currently connect fragmented systems together — often under pressure and during periods of high workload — with limited real-time information, resulting in harder, less consistent decision-making that impacts safety, efficiency, and cost. Your products are the foundation that fixes this\: without the right information reaching crew reliably, the Decision & Execution products cannot do their job.

Job Purpose

As a Product Manager, you will own the strategy, development and delivery of the Comms & Intelligence products within Connected Crew — products that directly impact millions of passengers and frontline staff across Europe.

Working closely with the Senior Product Manager and the Head of Technology, you will take full accountability for your products across their whole lifecycle — setting the vision, defining the roadmap and leading the cross-functional team that delivers it. That team, made up of engineers, analysts, data scientists and delivery partners, will rely on your leadership to ensure every product decision is grounded in crew insight, operational efficiency and commercial value.

You will ensure that consistent, timely, real-time information is available as the foundation the Decision & Execution for Pilots and Decision & Execution for Cabin products build on, and you will contribute to the strategy of the wider Connected Crew product group, making sure your products earn their place within it.

This is a highly collaborative role. You'll work closely with Flight Operations, Cabin Services, the Crew & Aircraft Devices Platform team, third-party suppliers and senior stakeholders to translate complex operational challenges into clear priorities and value-focused roadmaps.

Job Accountabilities

Product Strategy & Vision

  • Define and own the vision, strategy and roadmap for the Comms & Intelligence products, from idea to value

  • Ensure alignment with the strategy of the wider Connected Crew product group, organisational goals, crew needs, and evolving market and operational dynamics

  • Build the value case for your products and manage the resource and funding allocated to them, contributing to the wider product group budget owned by the Senior Product Manager

Stakeholder Management

  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with Flight Operations, Cabin Services, Safety, the Crew & Aircraft Devices Platform team, external partners and suppliers

  • Act as the recognised expert and single point of contact for real-time crew information and intelligence products, translating priorities into actionable initiatives and negotiating trade-offs where necessary, escalating decisions that span the wider group

  • Partner closely with the Decision & Execution Product Managers to ensure the information and intelligence layer meets the needs of downstream pilot and cabin decision-support products

Product Planning & Execution

  • Own the end-to-end lifecycle of your products, from idea and discovery through delivery, adoption and optimisation

  • Translate operational challenges — fragmented systems, limited real-time visibility, inconsistent information — into clear, prioritised product backlogs and ensure timely, high-quality delivery

  • Define and track success metrics (OKRs and KPIs) for information delivery, timeliness, and consistency, ensuring your products deliver tangible business outcomes

  • Use data and insights to inform decisions, iterate on solutions, and continuously improve product performance

Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Provide day-to-day leadership to a multidisciplinary squad, ensuring alignment across business SMEs, Technology, Data, Analytics, and external partners

  • Contribute to a high-performing, collaborative team culture focused on delivering measurable value, and share practice openly with fellow Product Managers across the group

Governance & Compliance

  • Ensure your product development adheres to legal, regulatory and operational standards, including data handling and security requirements for operational and safety-related information

  • Apply best practice in product governance, risk management, and ethical technology use

Communication & Reporting

  • Act as the focal point for communication on your products, providing regular updates to the Senior Product Manager, Head of Technology and wider stakeholders on progress, risks and value realisation

  • Ensure transparency and alignment with stakeholders at every level
