Job description

Sales Manager - £35,000pa + Commission - Canvey Island

Our Canvey Island based client is looking for an ambitious, commercially minded Sales Manager to join their growing business and play a key role in the next stage of its development. This hands-on leadership role requires someone who can build and develop a strong, high-performing sales team, increase revenue and market share and identify and open new markets and opportunities. If you are a driven sales entrepreneur, looking for a great company to work for, then this role could be exactly what you are looking for!

The Sales Manager role involves: -

· Leading, developing, coaching and motivating the Sales Team whilst leading by example and remaining hands-on with customers and sales opportunities and working to sales targets and KPI’s.

· Developing and implementing practical sales / customer acquisition strategies to increase revenue and profitability, ensuring the team can clearly communicate our value to customers. Translate business objectives into clear, achievable sales plans.

· Identifying opportunities to grow sales with existing customers. Understanding customer needs, competitor activity and market trends and developing key customer and account relationships.

· Researching / identifying new markets, sectors and customer groups with growth potential.

· Monitoring sales performance and acting where targets are not being achieved.

· Building relationships with potential partners, distributors, customers and others.

· Analysing sales data, providing regular sales forecasts, performance updates and market insight.

· Identifying gaps, challenges and opportunities within the sales function.

· Recruiting and developing additional sales talent as the business grows.

What is required for the Sales Manager role: -

· Experience as a Sales Manager with a proven track record of delivering growth.

· A confident, professional and effective leader who enjoys developing people.

· Commercially aware and comfortable working with targets, KPIs and sales data.

· A self-motivated individual with strong communication and relationship building skills.

· Results-focused without losing sight of customer relationships and long-term growth.

· Someone who takes ownership rather than waiting to be told what to do.

What is in it for you: -

A salary of £35,000pa + Commission, on-site car parking facilities and the opportunity to put your own stamp on this role and play a key role in a small growing business. You will get to build and develop your own sales team and have significant influence over the sales strategy and future growth of the business.

The working hours for this office-based role are 9.00am – 5.00pm Monday to Friday.

If you have the relevant skills and experience for this role, we would like to hear from you!
