Delivers pragmatic, commercially focused legal advice, helping stakeholders to solve complex business challenges while balancing legal risk with operational and commercial objectives.

Location: Hybrid working model with flexibility to travel to Winchester / London offices when required

Plus, you’ll play an integral role in protecting the commercial value of Arqiva’s sites - a critical part of how we deliver for our customers. Working closely with senior leaders across the business, you'll help shape commercial decisions, support critical infrastructure projects and play a key role in protecting and maximising the value of Arqiva's extensive property and technology estate.

Key Accountabilities

•Provide expert legal advice on corporate, commercial and regulatory matters.
• Lead contract negotiations and review complex agreements.
• Collaborate with business colleagues to align legal functional approach with business objectives and support embedding legal considerations in decision-making.
• Oversee external counsel engagements as needed.
• Monitor and interpret changes in legislation, advising stakeholders on impact.
• Develop internal legal policies, governance frameworks, and risk mitigation plans.
• Support dispute resolution and litigation management.
• Liaise with regulators and industry bodies to ensure compliance with legal requirements.
• Conduct internal legal training to improve awareness of legal risks and best practices.
• Undertake internal legal audits and recommend corrective actions.
• Support, coach and provide guidance to more junior members of the legal team.
• Provide pragmatic, risk-based legal solutions that enable business objectives while appropriately managing legal exposure

What We’re Looking For

• Qualified Solicitor with a minimum of 4 years PQE gained in private practice, in-house, or a combination of both.
• Expert commercial lawyer with experience advising on complex contractual matters.
• Experience providing legal advice across corporate, governance and regulatory matters.
• Strong commercial awareness with the ability to deliver pragmatic, risk-based solutions.
• Experience operating within a regulated environment is desirable.
• Ability to influence senior stakeholders and build trusted relationships across the business.
• Experience supporting, mentoring or developing junior legal team members.
• Strong understanding of risk management, corporate governance and compliance frameworks.
• Demonstrable ability to balance legal risk with commercial objectives and influence business decision-making.

Qualifications

• A degree (or equivalent experience) in Law is required. A legal practice qualification (e.g. LPC, SQE or equivalent) is required.
