An experienced Business Architect is sought to support a major AI-enabled transformation within Third-Party Risk Management (TPRM). This is a highly delivery-focused role. We need someone who can take a complex, ambiguous business problem, understand what is really required, break it into manageable and deliverable components, and create the business blueprint that enables technology teams to build the right solution.

The organisation has a significant commitment to embed AI-enabled technology into TPRM by November. Therefore, the pace is critical. We need someone who can bring structure and clarity quickly without creating a lengthy architecture/discovery exercise that delays delivery.

Main Responsibilities

• Understand the underlying business problem rather than simply documenting what stakeholders initially ask for.

• Break complex problems into manageable, logical business components that can be delivered incrementally.

• Define the business architecture and operating model required to support the future state.

• Establish the business blueprint for how the solution needs to work.

• Work closely with the Technology Architect to translate that blueprint into the appropriate platform, product and technology architecture.

• Help determine what the technology solution needs to look like from a business and user perspective.

• Define the sequence in which capabilities, processes and functionality need to be delivered.

• Create clear business workflows showing what happens, when it happens, who does it, what triggers it and what the outcome should be.

• Identify dependencies between business capabilities, processes, data, people and technology.

• Translate complex architecture and transformation concepts into straightforward business language.

• Act as a bridge between business stakeholders and technology teams.

Key Requirements

• Proven experience as a Business Architect or similar role.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Experience with business process design and improvement.

• Ability to communicate complex concepts in simple terms.

• Understanding of technology architecture and its relation to business processes.

• Strong interpersonal skills to manage stakeholder relationships.

• Experience working in an agile environment.

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with AI technologies and their application in business.

• Experience in risk management or financial services.

• Knowledge of modular design principles.

• Previous involvement in large-scale transformation projects.
