Job description

The Role: (2 Days In Office)
As Experimentation Lead, you'll drive a genuine test-and-learn culture across New Look. That means embedding experimentation best practice where it's still new and growing maturity where it already exists. You'll be central to our re-platform and website launches, making sure new features are rolled out and measured properly, tests are coordinated across teams rather than run in silos, and we're learning the right things from everything we build. You'll manage our third-party testing partners, work closely with our teams to scale what's working, and build wider buy-in for experimentation across the business. Ultimately, you'll help us build a real picture of what matters to New Look customers, so we keep focusing our effort in the right places.

WHATS IN IT FOR YOU:

40% staff discount plus friends & family discounts throughout the year
Access to our reward platform for external discount and offers
Private pension scheme
Virtual GP access for you and your children – it allows you to speak to a doctor at a time and date that suits you
All employees are covered by our life assurance policy from day one
Unlock extra leave with our buy more holiday scheme.
Celebrate YOU! Enjoy an extra paid day off on your birthday each year
Enhanced maternity, paternity and adoption leave, and shared parental leave (eligible after 2 years’ service).
Spread the cost of your commute with interest-free season ticket loans
Do your bit for the environment and save money with our Cycle2Work scheme
We're proud to partner with the Retail Trust and Fashion & Textile Children's Trust

What you’ll be doing:
Building an experimentation culture

Champion experimentation across the business, tailoring your approach by team: implementing best practice from scratch in some functions, and raising the bar in others where testing already happens
Build strong, influential relationships with teams to embed a test-and-learn mindset, scaling best practice through coaching and enablement
Gain buy-in for experimentation in parts of the business where it isn't yet established

Supporting the re-platform and rollouts

Own experimentation input into re-platform and new site launch rollout plans
Advise on what gets tested, and in what order, as new parts of the site go live
Create strategies to measure the long-term benefit of the changes we implement

Measurement, insight and learning

Make sure every test measures the right things
Work with analytics on priorities and process to gain the most insight from experiments
Build an ongoing picture of what matters to New Look customers, working closely with UXR and customer insight, and use it to sharpen focus

Coordination and delivery

Coordinate tests across teams so they don't clash or duplicate
Shape experimentation roadmaps with eCommerce, Product and UX, aligned to OKRs and priorities
Support across delivery end-to-end: ideation, hypothesis, design, results, recommendations
Create the right forums to support teams with trouble-shooting, launching and analysing experiments.

Partnerships and technology

Manage third-party relationships (e.g. Monetate, ACX) to build new experiments and functionality
Ensure we’re working with the right 3rd parties for our needs, and run RFPs when these needs evolve
Keep evolving the programme: scaling experimentation, especially as we personalise, and staying current on industry trends and the tools available

Who you are:
Experimentation expertise

Solid track record in A/B testing, recommendation and personalisation programmes.
Experience being the primary manager of a 3rd party experimentation tools is desirable.
Proven ability to scale experimentation capability and embed a test-and-learn culture.

Collaboration and communication

Comfortable in a product-led environment, working with PMs, designers and engineers.
Credible, articulate communicator, able to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.

Analytical and strategic thinking

Confident across the full lifecycle: briefing, hypothesis, experiment design, results, recommendations.

Confident in understanding metrics, statistical concepts, working with analytics and deriving insight from experiments.

Personal attributes

Self-starter, good at prioritising, works well solo and as part of a team.
Proactive and positive, comfortable with change, driven to get value from data.
Excited by digital, retail and fashion, curious about new tools and technologies
Tests delivered, incremental revenue achieved though driving conversion and AOV, growing adoption of experimentation across the New Look business.
Cross-functional; strong working relationship across Product, eCommerce, analytics, IT and Marketing teams.
