AVI Foodsystems is looking for an energetic and optimistic leader to fill the role of Director of Catering at Saint Anselm College in Manchester, NH.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Coordinates catering activities with client representative
  • Schedule catering associates and distribute workloads
  • Prepare pre-event and clean-up checklists
  • Ordering, receiving and inventory of supplies
  • Communicates with General Manager, Chef and other team members to ensure high quality products and service
  • Monitors care and operation of delivery vehicles
  • Drives Van and/or Box truck to or from Events as needed if Driver is unavailable
  • Follow-up on catered events
  • Monitors team member job performance
  • Financial management of catering activities through effective food, labor and supply controls
  • Works with Director of Special Events, Resident Director, General Manager, Client, and others as necessary regarding menu concepts and special events
  • Maintain accurate records of events to assist other team members and plan for future business
  • Any position or other duties as required and assigned

Requirements:

  • One to three years of management experience in the catering field
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and decision-making ability
  • Ability to lead, supervise, train and coordinate the catering team
  • Willingness and availability to work a flexible schedule
  • Multitask including an extensive understanding of customer service principles and service recovery -on approach to training and development of the service team
  • Operational knowledge of commercial kitchen equipment
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications and catering billing systems
  • ServSafe Certification preferred
  • Valid license
