Job description

Base Location: Mobilisation from Montrose, Angus, Scotland. This is an offshore role based on a Service Operation Vessel (SOV), operating on a rotational shift pattern.

Salary: £36,200 - £54,400 depending on experience + offshore allowance + performance-related bonus + a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family.

Working Pattern: Permanent | Full Time | Offshore rotational shift pattern

The role

This is an opportunity to take on a key operational role at Seagreen Offshore Wind Farm, helping to ensure our offshore assets are operated safely, efficiently and effectively.

Working offshore on a rotation, you’ll coordinate operational and maintenance activity, lead offshore personnel and work closely with contractors, the onshore control room and wider operational teams. Safety will be at the heart of everything you do, alongside making sure work is properly planned, coordinated and delivered.

You will:

  • Coordinate offshore operational and maintenance activities, ensuring planned and unplanned work is delivered safely and efficiently.
  • Provide day-to-day leadership and line management to offshore personnel, working closely with contractors and wider site teams.
  • Ensure the wind farm operates in accordance with all relevant SHE, environmental, operational and regulatory requirements.
  • Act as Incident Controller when required, supporting emergency response and ensuring non-conformances are appropriately reported and recorded.
  • Support operational planning and safe systems of work, including liaison with the onshore control room and, subject to site requirements, undertaking Authorised Person duties under OSR and WTSR.

You have:

  • A time-served apprenticeship or equivalent technical qualification in Electrical, Mechanical, C&I or a related engineering discipline.
  • Experience in a supervisory or leadership role, including responsibility for people and the management of contractors or sub-contractors.
  • Experience of working within Operational Safety Rules, Safe Systems of Work or a similar environment, ideally with AP/AT authorisation or the ability and willingness to work towards it.
  • A strong understanding of offshore working, operational planning and SHE risks, with a practical, safety-first approach.
  • Knowledge of operational offshore wind assets and associated infrastructure, including BOP, WTG and OFTO, would be beneficial, alongside the ability to work collaboratively as part of a wider operational team.
