Job description
We are currently looking for a Social Media & Content Assistant to join our Head Office team, who will support the Head of Marketing, Media and Communications in the day-to-day delivery of social media, content and marketing activities. This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to develop their career in marketing, content creation and digital communications within a dynamic leisure and community-focused organisation.
You will play a key role in supporting social media management, content creation and literature design, photography and video, website content, proofreading and copywriting, as well as general marketing administration, advertising, promotions and attending company events.
As a Social Media & Content Assistant, you will be responsible for creating, preparing, scheduling and publishing engaging visual and written content across tmactive's social media channels and website. This will include photography, video, Reels and other short-form content, as well as supporting campaigns designed to increase reach and engagement.
You will support the promotion of activity programmes across all tmactive sites, by designing and producing promotional materials, marketing literature and digital content. You will also assist with the creation and administration of marketing campaigns, promotions and initiatives, whilst monitoring communication via social media, email and website queries.
We are looking for someone who is creative, proactive and enthusiastic about digital marketing. You will have a genuine passion for social media and content creation, together with the ability to create engaging content.
You will ideally have experience using Canva, WordPress and Adobe Creative Cloud, with experience creating content, photography, videography and video editing.
A qualification, or ongoing study, in Marketing, Digital Marketing, Communications or a related fields would be beneficial, but not essential.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES | |||

To support the Head of Marketing, Media and Communications in the day-to-day delivery of social media, content and marketing activities. The duties and responsibilities of this role include supporting social media management, content creation and literature design, photography and video, website content, proofreading and copywriting, as well as general marketing administration, advertising, promotions and attending company events. | |||

SPECIFIC DUTIES

· Create, prepare, schedule and publish engaging visual and written content across tmactive's social media channels, including Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and LinkedIn. This will include photography, video, Reels and other short-form content, as well as supporting campaigns designed to increase reach and engagement. · Monitor and support communication via social media, email and website queries, responding where appropriate and escalating queries as required. · Design and produce promotional materials, marketing literature and digital content using Canva, Adobe Creative Cloud, Adobe Acrobat Pro or similar design software, ensuring content is accurate, engaging and consistent with tmactive's brand guidelines. · Update, maintain and check the company website, ensuring content is accurate, current and appropriately presented. · Support internal communications, including the preparation and collation of information for newsletters, internal events, site noticeboards, posters and displays. · Assist with the creation and administration of marketing campaigns, promotions and initiatives, including the promotion of SWIMTAG and other technology designed to increase participation and usership. · Support the promotion of activity programmes across tmactive sites, including Active Communities, Swim School and courses, and visit sites to gather content and ensure promotional displays and marketing materials are current and appropriately presented. · Assist with proofreading and the production of copy for marketing, digital and internal communications. · Manage and maintain the photo library, ensuring files are appropriately named, organised and stored. · Provide support at events when required, including content creation, promotion and administration. · Provide general marketing and administrative support as required.

Qualifications |
· GCSE Grade 4/C or above in English, or equivalent. |

· Experience using social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and TikTok. · Experience creating content for digital channels, including social media posts, graphics, photography or video. · Experience using design tools such as Canva or similar platforms. · Understanding of social media trends and best practice. |
· Knowledge of the leisure, fitness or community sector. · Experience of administration and data entry. · Experience working in a marketing, communications or content creation role. · Experience managing multiple social media channels for an organisation. |
