Technical Specification Manager - Height Safety

The Technical Specification Manager (Height Safety) exists to protect the technical robustness and compliance of every height safety solution Harmony Fire proposes — before it reaches a client. Sitting within the Service function and reporting to the Head of Pre-Construction Service, the role acts as the technical authority for height safety specifications, reviewing and validating fall protection, anchor, edge protection, and access system designs against the relevant standards and legislation (including the Work at Height Regulations 2005, BS 7883, BS EN 795, and BS 8437) before proposals are issued.

Working closely with sales, estimating, design, and engineering colleagues, you will ensure every specification is technically sound, deliverable, and correctly compliant — while remaining commercially workable. You will act as the checkpoint that protects Harmony Fire’s reputation as a trusted height safety partner, maintaining the technical standards library and product approvals list, supporting colleagues with technical guidance and training, and keeping the business ahead of changes in height safety legislation and best practice.
