Web and Mobile Technical Cofounder for Language Learning App

Compensation: 30.0% – 35.0%

A full stack engineer who wants to own the technical side of a real product with real users.

The stack:

• Vue 3 and TypeScript
• Capacitor for iOS and Android builds, deployed to both app stores
• Web app on the same codebase
• Strapi and PostgreSQL on the backend
• RevenueCat for in-app subscriptions and purcahses
• DigitalOcean hosting, Git for version control
• Firebase for analytics and notifications

You should be strong across this stack, comfortable shipping to both app stores, and able to work independently. You don't need to love language learning, but it helps if you find the problem interesting.

What You'd Own

• The entire codebase: architecture, features, releases, performance
• App Store and Play Store submissions and updates
• Technical decisions, with me as a sounding board rather than a boss

Offer

• 35% equity on a standard 4-year vest with a 1-year cliff, with some flexibility for the right person
• No salary at the start. If that's a dealbreaker, this isn't the right fit.
• Part-time to start is workable if the output is there. I care about shipping, not hours.
• Fully remote. The company is registered in the United States.
